It seems just like yesterday that we were preparing for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler Canada.
It has come around pretty quickly but we have worked long and hard to be in the best shape possible.

Its been amazing journey for me as I never imagined that I would get the opportunity to coach Olympic athlete never mind a winter Olympic Athlete.
Over the past 6 years we have worked closely together as athlete and coach and formed an amazing relationship on the track and in the gym and a great friendship off the track.
I am very lucky to have worked with amazing young athlete who is dedicated, keen to learn, never knows when to stop and has given is all to the past six years to be his best. And above all else I have a best mate for life.
Our relationship started on the track over 6 years ago in 100m and 200m when Anthony was invited to attend the 2010 Winter Olympic Bobsled trials. He was already a big sprinter at 94kg but the best bobsled brakeman in the world weighs in at about 100kg. Four years later and lots of calories consumed and lots of home cooked meals he now sits around 106kg and is a lot stronger, has more speed over 30 and 60m and has increased his power output enormously.
We have reached that point in coach athlete relationship were he knows as much or if not more than I do but he just needs that listening ear and little bit of reassurance that he is on track and going well. He will venture off to the other side of the world in the best shape of his life.
I will endeavour to post lots of information in the coming months to report in on his progress and results however I would also ask that at every opportunity you get to support the Australian Winter athletes, please do so, as the Australian government doesn’t help very much and these guys are basically self funded.
Good luck from everyone that follows Runfast HQ.
What an amazing journey its been for both of us.
